INTERNAL APPEAL IN TERMS OF SECTIONS 74 AND 75(1) OF THE PROMOTION OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT, 2000 (“PAIA”)

The Centre for Environmental Rights submitted an internal appeal on 13 December 2019 to the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA), contesting a decision regarding a request for information (ref: PAIA 180509).

• The Centre for Environmental Rights has lodged an internal appeal under section 75(1)(a) of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA) against a decision made by the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries regarding a request for access to information identified by reference numbers PAIA 180509 and CER-2019-DEA-0001 (GHG).
• The appeal submission includes a Prescribed Form B Notice of Internal Appeal, Annexure A detailing the grounds of appeal, and supporting annexures A1 through A14.
