This document consists of a series of field borehole logs (Appendix B) for the Yzermyn Coal Mine project in Wakkerstroom, conducted between May and June 2013. The logs detail the geological composition of several boreholes (including CBH1, CBH2D, CBH3D, CBH4D, CBH5D, CBH6, CBH7D, and CBH8D), identifying layers of sandstone, shale, siltstone, and specific coal seams such as the Alfred and Dundas seams.

• Borehole logs for the Yzermyn Coal Mine project were recorded between May 23, 2013, and June 8, 2013, using a truck-mounted rig and the rotary air percussion drilling method.

• Specific coal seams identified in the borehole logs include the 'ALFRED' and 'DUNDAS' seams.
• Borehole CBH 3D reached a total depth of 208 meters and encountered colluvium consisting of semi-rounded cobbles of dolerite and sandstone.
• Borehole CBH 5D reached a total depth of 214 meters and recorded layers of very fine grained sand interlaminated with shale.
• Borehole CBH 7D reached a total depth of 202 meters and identified a layer of competent, fine-grained green/grey dolerite.
• Borehole CBH 8D reached a total depth of 214 meters and encountered both the Alfred and Dundas coal seams.
• Weathering of sandstone and shale was noted in several boreholes, typically extending to depths of 16 to 23 meters below ground level (mbgl).
