This document presents survey results regarding public concern over online disinformation, hate speech, and foreign interference, as well as support for government and corporate interventions to ensure information integrity, particularly during extreme weather events.

• A significant majority of survey respondents expressed high levels of concern regarding disinformation and hate speech on social media platforms, with 83% reporting they are 'Extremely' or 'Very' concerned.
• There is strong support for social media companies and the Canadian government to take specific actions during extreme weather events to ensure information accuracy and prevent the promotion of disinformation, with 87% agreeing with company requirements and 86% agreeing with government requirements.
• Respondents showed high levels of agreement (81% to 82%) that the Canadian government should require social media companies to limit the spread of disinformation and hate speech, be transparent about algorithms, and be transparent about ad revenues linked to disinformation or hate speech.
