ReNew2030: An Audacious Project Accelerating Renewable Energy for a Climate Secure Future

ReNew2030 is a coalition of philanthropic and civil society organisations aiming to scale global wind and solar capacity fivefold by 2030 to align with the 1.5°C warming limit. Funded via The Audacious Project, the initiative focuses on renewables financing, energy transition equity, and corporate mobilisation. The coalition includes regional climate foundations from Africa, China, the US, Europe, Mexico, and Brazil, and is hosted by The European Climate Foundation.

• ReNew2030 aims to increase global wind and solar capacity by five times by 2030 to maintain the possibility of limiting global warming to 1.5°C, while simultaneously enhancing energy security and creating jobs.
• The initiative is based on the International Energy Agency's assessment that the power sector must provide half of all emissions reductions required by 2030 to keep warming below 1.5°C.
